Camp Fire Bannock
This is a really quick, delicious bread that is great to be wrapped around weiners before they are cooked, or to be fried just as it is to eat with butter or jam or whatever you fancy.
A handy camp fire bread that is equally good when cooked at home on the stove!!
Thank you to Rhonda, a wonderful Dene lady from Alberta, who taught me to make this several years ago.
When I make this I don’t really measure, but go by two handfuls of flour makes two good sized pieces of bannock.

Some approximate measurements:
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 tablespoons of baking powder

Mix the dry ingredients together, then add water to form a dough.
Make patties, dollops or whatever shapes you like and fry in a pan over the fire until golden.
