I do love things with cute or unusual names, and while this is just a quick way to use up some left over pastry, or pie crust, it has a cute name.
I think they are called that because if you roll them tightly enough, (which I clearly didn’t!) they are stripey like bumblebees.
Whatever the reason, they are a lovely little sweet treat that uses up scraps of left over pastry, or pie crust, without waste. They are really similar to little cinnamon buns, which can never be a bad thing!
Roll the leftover dough out, smear it with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and roll it up tightly.
Then slice the roll about half an inch thick. Lay out on baking sheet and bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
A quick and easy way to use up left over pastry in a delicious way.
