101 Things In 1001 Days
In May 2009 a friend told me about a project she was taking on. Instead of setting New Year Resolutions she was writing a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days, which was more achievable and more fun.
I decided to join in and wrote a list too. It ends on January 30, 2012.
However, our lives took a turn we didn’t expect and most of the things I wrote were unachievable due to the location we live in.
So, I am starting again. My new list will start on July 1, 2011 and will end 10o1 days later on Monday, April 28, 2014.
My new list has some of the things from my old list but is mostly new.

I think this is a fabulous idea – as is your blog! I have my two best girlfriends coming to visit me from the UK soon (I too relocated to another country for love and am the happiest I´ve ever been). We go back many years and are always planning for the future, I think they´d love to make a list like this too. Good luck with the list and hope you enjoy doing each and every thing!
Thank you! That’s interesting that we did the same thing, and I am happy that we are both really happy with our choices.
Have fun with your friends.
I spent most of my formative childhood years living on Lake Superior! Michigan during the school year, and in Lake Superior on Isle Royale National Park during the summers cause my Dad was a National Park Service Ranger. It afforded me a rare, and very beautiful special upbringing.
Im still trying to finish the quilt that I started when I was 17 years old. I had no husband in sight, but I began it with the intention that it would grace my eventual wedding bed. Quilting is a lovely artform.
I just bought a basket to hang on my arm while I am with my BF, walking the Rennaisance Faire grounds, providing background color for the patrons. Now Im looking for a cloth to put inside it. Any ideas? It needs to line the bottom and have enough to wrap around the top and over, so that it doesnt fall out/get stolen during my roundabouts.
I LOVE your list idea!! So ambitious. I look forward to watching you check off every single item on this list and cheering for you when you start your next one.
I love baskets. I did get to the market, for about ten minutes with a basket so I am started on the list already!
